Vivo Rio
Inaugurated in 2006, Vivo Rio is part of the Museum of Modern Art (MAM) complex and is located at Aterro do Flamengo. The building was designed in the mid 50’s by the renowned architect Affonso Eduardo Reidy, one of the pioneers of modern architecture. Vivo Rio is one of Rio de Janeiro’s most known concert halls, and its stage has already received high profile artists such as Caetano Veloso, Gal Costa, Ney Matogrosso, Joss Stone, Julio Iglesias and Michael Bublé.

Circo Voador
Circo Voador is one of the most traditional concert halls in downtown Rio. Founded in 1982, the Circo Voador has gone through a long journey to become what it is today. It was opened in Arpoador by a group of artists who wanted a stage to show their art. In military dictatorship, the work lasted three months, until the city council disarmed the structures. But because of the clamor of the locals, Circo Voador was definitively installed in the place where it is today, near Arcos da Lapa. In 1996, the mayor of Rio ordered Circo Voador to close its doors, and it remained that way until 2002, when a court order authorized the opening. It is one of the most beloved concert halls in Rio. Much of the building’s history remained even after the renovation, including its front, designed by the Spanish Adolfo de Los Rios.
