It is so called because it was the result of the dismantling of a hill that was there until the year 1952. The park is 7 kilometers long and includes the gardens of the Museum of Modern Art of Rio de Janeiro (MAM) and the National Monument to the Deaths of Second World War (1956). On Sundays and holidays, the expressways that cut the Landfill are closed to traffic and are free for walking and cycling from 7am to 6pm.<\/p>\n
