What will be the main festivals and events taking place in Rio?
Rock in Rio
Rock in Rio, without a doubt, is one of the most anticipated moments of this year for those passionate about music. It is one of the main festivals and events in Rio. Once again, it promises concerts of great national and international artists. The festival will take place on two weekends, from September 15 to 17 and from September 21 to 24, 2017.
Some of the confirmed artists are: Aerosmith, Guns n Roses, The Who, Maroon 5, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bon Jovi, Billy Idol, Lady Gaga, Ivete Sangalo, Fergie, 5 Seconds of Summer and Justin Timberlake, BLITZ, Alice Caymmi, Davi Moraes, among other artists. What is new in Rock in Rio this year is that the City of Rock will be set up in the Olympic Park of Rio de Janeiro. The rating age to access to the event is 16 years old, younger ones are only allowed access if accompanied by their parents or some legal guardian.

Ultra Brasil

Som da Vida

Organizers also promised a surprise for July 14: an international band that, for now, only they know who they are.

On weekdays, Bienal will begin at 9 a.m. and will go until 10 p.m. On weekends, the start time will be 10 a.m. The only exceptions will be August 31, when the event will start at 1:00 p.m. and will close at 10:00 p.m. and on the 7th of September, which will have the same schedule of weekends.
